Hello everyone, and here’s wishing you a happy and sunny long bank holiday weekend! I hope you’re able to find the time to get outside in the sunshine, even for just half an hour.
It’s been a busy week for me. I finally got Beak Up Crafts on Facebook, I launched my first crochet pattern which is available to buy – Monty the rabbit – which you can get in my brand new Etsy Shop, and I started to learn the art of papercutting thanks to Paper Panda’s brilliant introduction kit.
Here’s a few pictures from my week:
Top (l-r): Crochet fox in progress; Papercutting #1; Papercutting #2.
Middle: Getting out on my bike on a sunny day; Introducing Monty, my new crochet pattern; A beautiful sunset in the park.
Bottom: Quick and easy paper animals; My new watch; The new bandstand.
Also, I think it’s nice to share the love, so here are a few crafty things that have caught my eye this past week:
- Ladybird Likes’ wooden bead necklace workshop – beautiful and a total bargain! If you’re in London, click the link and get there!
- How to style your product photos. A beautiful post by Holly Booth with some gorgeous pictures.
- And make sure you look at this bright and glittery ombre glitter champagne glass tutorial from Rock n Roll Bride – stunning!
Here are some of the other things I have loved this week:
- Why busyness and exhaustion shouldn’t be seen as a status symbol. Photographer Jasmine Star has it spot on.
- How running and setting a target helps mental health: The 100 mile challenge.
- Fifty ways to beat blogger’s block. One of my favourite bloggers Gala Darling helps bulldoze down those blogging blank walls.
What has inspired you this week?
